Edglanete, Tansi and hey yoooouu...
My name's Tenille and I'm the blogger/photographer/author/Dene Woman/best bannock maker ever/insert title here. I'm also a new mommy, the best job title of all.
I've moved back to the bush - back to English River First Nation, home of the beautiful Denesuline. I got married in September to my longtime love, I'm finishing my MFA in Creative Writing at UBC, and I'm developing a portfolio for my photography business, sweetmoon photography. Aside from all that, I'm raising my beautiful baby girl Aerie and learning a lot through mistakes, trial and error and a lot of luck. It's been crazy. I read a lot of blogs, I have an insane love for coffee, and I want to find Atlantis when I grow up. I have big, big plans and this blog is gonna help me keep it all straight.
So yeah. Hello.
And what is denelicious?
I picked denelicious over chicken as my blog name. I'm sure you'll agree.
Denelicious is where it's at.

And what is denelicious?
Well, this one time my cousin Trudy and I were out clubbing in Saskatoon and we left the bar at closing time, walked across the street to get some greasy 7-11 chicken wings and drunk-dialed my cousin Greg, who was sleeping. He didn't pick up and we left an obscene amount of messages on his cell.
The next day he kindly visited us and played back the messages. There was a lot of screaming, laughter, and two words stuck out - denelicious and chicken. We kept screaming it over and over again. Apparently, Trudy and I had taken it upon ourselves to become denelicious. Beautiful and strong are the Dene people, and we had created a word to hook us up with that. And we loved us some three am chicken wings.
